RedOne has officially announced that he and Lady Gaga have already recorded eight songs together.

Back in September 2015, Lady Gaga Instagram’d photos of herself in the studio with longtime collaborator RedOne. And while we knew the Swedish producer was involved with Gaga’s new album, it’s now been confirmed that the two have already written several tracks together. In an interview with Rhode Island’s WPRO-FM, RedOne (whose real name is Nadir Khayat) was careful not to divulge too much information, simply stating “We did eight songs so far, let’s see what happens.”

Khayat is well-known for working with Gaga in the past and is responsible for producing many of her iconic singles such “Bad Romance,” “Poker Face,” and “Gypsy.” In an interview with The National, he candidly stated that “the new material feels great. And that’s what it is like with me and her – when we both feel great, it’s incredible. A lot of it is to do with trust, no ego, just love for the music. And when it’s fun and respectful, putting the egos aside, it’s magic.”

The 44-year old producer is joined in the studio by other musical luminaries including Mark Ronson, Diane Warren, and Elton John, all of whom are confirmed to also be working on the tentatively-titled record. Recently, Gaga was also seen in the studio with Ronson, BloodPop, and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker. However, there’s no confirmation as to whose material the three were working on so check back regularly for updates.

“With Gaga, I’m fully committed until we’re done,” says Khayat. “We’re just going to work on writing songs – 20, 30, 40 songs – until we get hopefully the best album of the decade.”
