“Psycho” by Post Malone and Ty Dolla $ign just hit 1 billion streams on Spotify. While that in itself is a big deal, it’s not what it used to be seeing that the track is the 59th recording to do so on the streaming service. What proves this accomplishment to be special is that it makes the New York native the first person to have five, 1 billion-stream tracks.
It is almost impossible to escape the grip of the superstar born Austin Richard Post as his songs have topped charts, been featured around the entertainment sphere and are blared constantly out of car sound systems. The ever-presence of Post Malone is what has spread his songs and earned him the title of “man with the most 1 billion-stream songs” thanks to “Rockstar,” “Sunflower,” “Better Now,” “Congratulations” and “Psycho.” Check out the tracks that put him on top here.
It is important to note that Justin Bieber has six songs with over a billion streams, but on half of those, he is just a featured artist and not the main. Ed Sheeran is the next closest with four tracks.
