Last week, Porter Robinson announced his plan to curate a festival with a new event name along with the full lineup. When tickets dropped yesterday (March 13th), the demand was so high that Second Sky Fest sold out almost immediately. Fortunately, those who were unable to secure a spot at the gathering were met with the following message from the Grammy nominated producer himself:
“You are now in line for the Porter Robinson’s Second Sky Presale. When it is your turn, you will have 10 minutes to enter the site and complete your purchase. If you do not enter the shopping cart within that 10 minute period you will lose your place in line. hey — so there’s like 5 times as many people trying to buy tickets as we thought! currently trying to scramble to add another day to the festival with the same lineup (minus G Jones, who has another show that day). we didn’t have plans to add another day, but due to the fact that there’s tons of people who weren’t able to get tickets, we want to add one more day and go from there. -porter”
Since the e-transmission, Robinson and partner Goldenvoice added a full second day of music insuring listeners would be able to see Madeon, Cashmere Cat, Nina Las Vegas, Anamanaguchi, and Kero Kero Bonito.
Pre-sale tickets for both days are now completely sold out, with a limited number of tickets for Sunday only being made available during general on sale, Friday, March 15th at 10AM PST. Any tickets will be officially available through the festival website.
