P!NK’s ‘Can We Pretend’ Jumps 10 Spots On Billboard’s Dance Chart

On the heels of her previous #1* releases “Walk Me Home,” “Beautiful Trauma,” “Secrets” and “What About Us,” P!nk returns to the dance floor with “Can We Pretend.” The RCA Records-released track that enjoys a ten position gain on the latest Billboard Dance Club Songs Top 50 chart to #36*.

Co-written by the Pennsylvania native along with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and artist/DJ trio Cash Cash, “Can We Pretend” finds P!nk wondering how life would be if everyone lived in a different reality as she sings “So can we pretend that I’m 22 today?/Dancin’ on the tables with you, oh yeah/Can we pretend that we all end up okay?/I just wanna forget with you, oh yeah.” The 39-year-old songstress gets political when asking “Can we pretend that we both like the president?” while the song’s official visual displays police cars in an ode to the climate of unrest between civilians and government.

Adding to the excitement of the original, music festival mainstay MOTi has submitted his own remix take that accentuates aspects of initial version and increases the energy. Check out the fired-up take from MOTi here.
