As more and more Spring music events get canceled due to COVID-19, those that take place later in the year are closely monitoring the situation. To address concerns, Insomniac Events founder Pasquale Rotella took to Instagram to let attendees in on the status of EDC Las Vegas.

In a since-expired live broadcast, the 45-year-old addressed multiple tops distilled into six points:

  1. If EDC couldn’t happen in May it wouldn’t be cancelled but “postponed.” Whether this would be the kind of postponement like Ultra is anyone’s guess.
  2. If postponed, refunds would be honored AND hotels would allow 72 hrs to refund after a postponement is announced.
  3. In case of postponement, Insomniac would announce with enough time for Headliners to make proper travel/lodging alterations.
  4. He actually has specific dates set for the possibility of a postponed EDC (but didn’t provide specific dates).
  5. He has spoken with the governor of Nevada, Mayor of LV, and hotel execs and all want EDC to happen as scheduled.
  6. EDC 2020 will take place so long as it is safe to happen.

Rotella also made a lasting post with regard to other festivals like Beyond Wonderland, reiterating what he said in his live stream. So far, EDC is set for May 15 – 17th, 2020. Stay tuned for more information and check out the transmission below.
