Omar Veluz has achieved the #2 Breakout position on this week’s edition of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart with his cover of the 1983 classic “Send Me An Angel.”

The Quinn Coleman Music-released track is the modern dance take on the original Real Life recording which peaked at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1989. The Veluz version turns up the first a few notches from being an essential synth-pop jam to a boogie-inducing song. Since its drop, club culture support has come quick via the collection of a remix by the Perry Twins which adds epic overtones that come close to making it a Trance tune.

Accompanying the recording is a music video that features the Mexico-born artist/dancer in an opulent and colorful display, singing lyrics such as “Empty dreams can only disappoint/In a room behind your smile/But don’t give up/Don’t give up/You can be lucky in love.” Listen to this week’s #2 Breakout “Send Me An Angel” via its official visual below.
