As Winter sets in, the darkness may cause morale to move South, but not with Nicky Romero‘s “My Way.”

The Protocol Recordings founder linked up budding EDM-specific singer Alice Berg on the self-released single with lyrics like, “‘Cause I don’t even hate you anymore/You call it heartache, I call it my way/I don’t even know what you adore/I can’t feel heartache, just going my way.”

The song exudes confidence from its strong synths to its lyrical content that talks about someone walking away from a bad relationship with conviction. That assertiveness may have come from the early November release of “Bittersweet” that saw the Dutch DJ/producer return to his distinct main stage-sounding production.
