Anticipation is high for fans of Notorious B.I.G. as Netflix prepares to release Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, the new documentary about the New York rap legend.
Scheduled for a March 1 release, the biographical film follows the early life and ascendance to rap superstardom of Biggie Smalls with appearances by fellow stars Faith Evans, Lil Cease, and more. In an effort to insure maximum accuracy, the documentary is executive-produced by the rap legend’s mother Violetta Wallace and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, Diddy said of his late friend during the remote induction ceremony: “Nobody has come close to the way Biggie sounds, to the way he raps, to the frequency that he hits.” The corner of Fulton Street and St. James Place in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, was renamed Christopher ‘Notorious B.I.G.’ Wallace Way in 2019.
