No, you’re not being Punk’d. MTV has finally caught on to the 90’s craze. The cable television channel well known for its ’round-the-clock broadcasting of music videos in bygone days has announced that it will be launching MTV Classic, a brand new channel that’s dedicated entirely to the awesome decade.

Starting August 1, MTV Classic will effectively replace VH1 classic as the de-facto music throwback channel. Now every 90’s kid can nostalgically watch all the best shows from back in the day. Old school favorites from the era include Beavis and Butthead, Cribs, and Daria.

Additionally, they’ll be running back everything from The Real World and Laguna Beach. Last but not least, music fans can relive all their favorite moments from Total Request Live. FYI – we’re totally bringing back Carson Daly and the nails.

Also revisited are some of the best concerts ever broadcasted via Unplugged and Storytellers, which feature performances by Nirvana, Bob Dylan, and Erykah Badu. And if that’s not enough, the first hour of MTV Classic will run the very first hour of programming from the channel. You can also catch “MTV Hour One” on their Facebook Live page. Check out the trailer and relive the 90’s.
