Miley Cyrus has several reasons to celebrate as her recently announced upcoming album is preempted by a resurgence of her decade-old hit “Party In The U.S.A.”

Following the media’s announcement of Joe Biden’s presumed win over Donald Trump for the Presidency of the United States, the elder Cyrus sister’s 2009 hit has been used as a unifying force among the left in celebration of their preferred candidate. According to music news website Chart Data, the 27-year-old singer’s song re-emerged on the US iTunes top 200 list, and also jumped to #93 on Spotify’s U.S. streaming chart with 313,000 plays.

As for her upcoming album, Plastic Hearts will drop on November 27th and will include 12 original songs including “Midnight Sky,” alongside her recent live covers of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” and the Cranberries’ “Zombie.” Incorporated as part of the full length will be “Edge of Midnight”, a very special mashup featuring Stevie Nicks 1982 hit song “Edge of Seventeen” and Cyrus’s aforementioned “Midnight Sky.” Listen to the song below in anticipation of the LP effort due later this month.
