On quite the roll since dropping his colossal Diplo-collaboration, “Electricity,” featuring Dua Lipa, production savant Mark Ronson has colluded with Miley Cyrus for “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” – a song that secured this week’s #45* Hot Shot Debut on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart within 7 days of promotional releases.

The highly-anticipated track, courtesy of RCA Records, features the 26-year-old former Voice coach showcasing her signature Tennessee twang over the “Uptown Funk” producer’s instrumental that deftly showcases Cyrus’ vocals. The original’s lyrics such as, “When you walked out/At first I celebrated/But this footloose, fancy free stuff’s overrated” are highlighted by the expertly-constructed Dark Intensity remix.

The accompanying music video finds the two Grammy-nominated artists involved in a high-speed police chase through streets lined with Miley fanatics before leading viewers into a dramatized review of 2018’s tragic events as she sings “well nothing, nothing, nothing gon’ save us now.” Listen to this week’s #45* Hot Shot Debut “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” below.

According to Mark Ronson, the song will be featured on his upcoming album that will contain what he calls “sad bangers.” There is no current release date for the project.
