Looks like Miley Cyrus‘ twerking days are behind her.

The former Disney star has come a long way since her early days in Hannah Montana. Just a few years back, her wild persona was associated with an equally lavish lifestyle she openly discusses. But these days The Voice judge plays a more supportive role on the hit television series. She recently sat down with Variety and touched on numerous subjects, from her acting career to coaching aspiring pop stars on NBC’s hit show.

Taking a backseat as a new coach, the “Wrecking Ball” singer goes to great lengths to support her team on The Voice. She reportedly hands each member a copy of The Untethered Soul, a self-help book, and dresses in flashy outfits to lighten the mood if they get too nervous.

“I think it makes the contestants feel safer. When I turn around, people laugh and feel lighthearted. I think they get to see that side of me.”

Since her early days as a child star, Miley has a new outlook on her acting days but couldn’t turn down the role in Woody Allen’s Crisis in Six Scenes.

“I know that acting is boring. People get paid way too much for what they are doing.”

“I had moved, and the only thing that I brought into my new house was a picture of Woody Allen. My first night I slept in my new house, [my manager] called and said, ‘Woody wants you to fly to New York.’ I loved working with Woody. You do like two takes. He just wants to go home and have dinner with his wife. One night it was 5:30, and the camera operator wanted to do another take. He goes, ‘I can’t dedicate my entire life to making movies.'”

With the recent election coming up, she makes an interesting comparison to one particular Republican Candidate.

“This is not a dig. But I do think there’s something that goes with the Kardashians and Trump. The Kardashians are better than Trump, because they are not trying to run the country. They are just trying to be famous, and that’s fine. We are obsessed with celebrity. When Trump started this, I was laughing. I thought it’s not going to go anywhere; there’s no way he’ll be the candidate.”

The 23-year-old singer is naturally a supporter of the democratic party. She urges Bernie supporters to vote despite the fact he didn’t make it as their candidate.

“That’s fucking crazy and you’re out of your mind. It’s literally pissing me off more than anything. If you could ever consider Donald Trump, you never understood Bernie in the first place.”

Cyrus opened up about the moment she realized she was pansexual.

“I never related to loving being a girl,” she continued. “And then, being a boy didn’t sound fun to me. I think the LGBTQ alphabet could continue forever. But there’s a “P” that should happen, for ‘pansexual’.”
