On Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Metallica tore through the band’s iconic 1991 hit “Enter Sandman” using nothing but classroom instruments. Band mates James Hetfield took on the toy clarinet, Lars Ulrich beat a Fisher Price drum, Kirk Hammett played the Melodica and Robert Trujillo tackled the baby electric axe.

Previous musicians to play their hits using classroom instruments on Fallon included Adele, Mariah Carey, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Idina Menzel, among others.
Metallica’s new album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct arrives this Friday.
