Having previously tinkered with his Ytram and GRX aliases in 2020, Martin Garrix just revealed that he and fellow collaborator, Maejor, have officially set a date for their debut AREA21 album.

The two initiated their hip-hop and electronic convergence in 2016, have debuted just six tracks since their group’s inception, and “Help,” their most recent release, may also be a track to come on the upcoming project. AREA21’s following has been waiting years for a more extensive output, and this collection comes as a very pleasant surprise to long-time fans of the club culture duo.

Staying relatively stealth in his approach, about the subject Garrix stated, “I can give one hint, we’re doing it in March, and…cartoon. That’s all I can say.” He also revealed that this body of work will revolve more around non-electronic instrumentation, such as drums and guitar, providing a pleasant switch-up for those who are used to the high-octane “main stage” Garrix style.
