Martin Garrix + Macklemore’s ‘Summer Days’ Breaks Out On Billboard’s Dance Chart

Martin Garrix‘s daring collab with Macklemore and Fall Out Boy‘s Patrick Stump has immediately gained traction to earn it this week’s #2 Breakout position on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.

The unlikely RCA Records-released composition titled “Summer Days” finds the Dutch maestro creating a bouncy and energetic canvas complete with a slapping bassline on which the “Thrift Shop” rapper recites lyrics about the perfect warm weather, “Sundress with you on my arm/Take the coupe out the garage/Pull the roof back just me, you and the stars/Toast to the Gods.” Patrick Stump further uses his easily recognizable voice to hold down the chorus. The overall result incorporates multiple aspects to create an infectious Summer tune that can easily be played on repeat.

Accompanying the initial recording come remixes from Dirty Werk that put a high octane twist on the original, featuring massive builds and drops that trade off with the unedited vocals of Macklemore and Fall Out Boy’s front man.
