Maroon 5 have released a new single titled “Cold,” featuring Future.

Co-written and co-produced by Benny Blanco, “Cold” is the second recent Maroon 5 single to embrace hip-hop crossover appeal, following the Kendrick Lamar featured “Don’t Wanna Know” last year.

In the 808-riddled track, frontman Adam Levine sings about affection slowly draining from a romance. “Are we taking time or a time-out?” he wonders. “I can’t take the in-between/ Asking me for space here in my house/ You know how to f**k with me.”

While, trap lord Future backs up Levine rapping: “I just spent half a mil on a chandelier,” he laments. “Now you trying to cut me off like a light switch.” “We goin’ two separate ways,” he adds. “You ain’t been actin’ the same.”
