Madonna channeled the spirit of the 80’s on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday when she performed her first ever hit “Borderline.” Taking the stage in her iconic attire of black plaid pants, a tie, and fingerless gloves, the Queen of Pop gave a stripped-down and soulful performance of her 1983 single backed by The Roots.

The singer appeared last night with President Barack Obama, who made his first appearance on the late night show since Jimmy Fallon began hosting. During their time filming the show, Madonna had the opportunity to meet the president, claiming she “felt speechless.”

Madonna recently finished her Rebel Heart world tour, which grossed over $190 million, making her the highest grossing solo artist in the world. Check out the performance below.
