Macklemore and Ryan Lewis recently premiered the music video for  their new ‘Downtown’ single. The creative visuals and choreography are bound to keep the viewer engaged despite the significant similarities between ‘Downtown’ and the former #1 pop single, ‘Uptown Funk‘ by Bruno Mars and Marc Ronson.

From the video’s stylistically visual choices to the emphasis on funk to the song’s title, it’s painfully obvious that the duo used the Ronson/Mars collaboration as inspiration. Nonetheless, the M&R single has received an abundance of positive feedback and, if truth be told, ‘imitation is the greatest form of flatery’
