Though Mac Miller‘s album Swimming appeared to be his last, prior to his untimely death, the artist’s estate just announced a new work, titled Circles, will be coming soon.
The posthumous project, set to be released on January 17th, was actually in the process of being recorded when the rapper died. Originally meant to be an accompanying work to Swimming, it was never finished and Jon Brion (who’d contributed to Swimming) decided to complete the upcoming effort.
“After his passing, Jon dedicated himself to finishing Circles based on his time and conversations with Malcolm,” Miller’s family wrote. “We are so grateful to Jon and to those who gave their best to the difficult and emotional task of putting out this body of work.” Read the whole statement below.
