Lizzo is doing a ton to help others during the COVID-19 pandemic by first donating lunches to a number of first responders at multiple hospitals across the country, and now (she’s) sharing her own workout routine.
Given the government’s shelter-in-place restrictions, many are finding it hard to stay fit, or even get some meaningful movement with the confines of their homes. While they may not have the same setup or resources as the platinum-selling songstress, she offers some support and rough ideas on how to start a sweat.
In an attempt to maintain her lifestyle and stamina for on-stage performances, on Friday, May 1st, Lizzo took to the popular video sharing app Tik Tok to give a brief look into the power moves and training she practices … from jump squats to battle ropes and core twists.
The clip that features her own Atlantic Records-released tune “Tempo” with Missy Elliott also came with a powerful message: “Seen a lot of slim chicks posting they workouts on here so I thought I’d join the fun. If you’re watching this just know you’re beautiful!” Not the first time Lizzo has addressed body size, she has been open about her own struggles with body dysmorphia and advocates for fans to embrace every body type.
