Fans have the opportunity to own a piece of Lil Wayne and overall Hip-Hop history as a notebook from 1999, filled with handwritten lyrics, has been put up for sale.
Though he almost never writes out his rhymes beforehand these days, vocals from the notebook in question actually went on to be featured on Weezy verses from Hot Boys tracks “We On Fire” and “I Feel.” The owner of the log claims to have found the notepad in a car that formerly belonged to Cash Money Records at the dealership he worked for.
Sadly, some of the pages have been damaged by water due to it being stored in a garage at the time of 2005’s Hurricane Katrina, but by some miracle, the legendary artist’s words survived. For those interested in purchasing this piece of history, they can contact Moments in Time and get their hands on the rare artifact for a cool $250,000.
Lil Wayne recently dropped his comeback album Tha Carter V, which was his first large-scale production in 7 years, containing tracks with world-class talent Travis Scott, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and XXXTentacion. Listen to the Young Money Records-released effort here.
