The XXXTentacion-assisted “Don’t Cry” from Lil Wayne has just received a fitting video that encapsulates all the emotion of the recording. The song originally appeared on Tenuchi’s most recent and highly-anticipated Tha Carter V album.

Directed by Jay and Georgio Rodriguez, the clip sees the Young Money Records founder making the transition from being a desert war lord dressed in Louis Vuitton garb and posing next to camels to occupying a stone-filled castle in which the lone king Weezy sits on a throne of giant black flowers. He mourns the loss of the slain Florida native through his lyrics as well as the isolated landscape of the visual.

Raw footage of XXXTentacion performing is woven into the clip next to his posthumous vocals. The whole piece comes to a chilling close, commemorating the life of the polarizing fallen rapper with a “Long Live X” chant, as “R.I.P. XXXTentacion” runs across the screen with his date of birth and passing.
