Though Lana Del Rey did not perform at Coachella, she took time off to explore the festival grounds with both the feelings of elation to appear at the festival, and anxiety about the state of the world.
On her way home from the festival, which took place in Indio, CA, the “Young and Beautiful” singer took a detour to write a short song in the forest before sharing it on Instagram Monday evening.
Check out Lana’s song in the beautiful quietness of the Sequoia trees which accompanied her:
In the post, she wrote that she “had complex feelings about spending the weekend dancing whilst watching tensions w North Korea mount.”
She also shared her thoughts on life right now: “…It’s a tightrope between being vigilantly observant of everything going on in the world and also having enough space and time to appreciate God’s good earth the way it was intended to be appreciated […] On my way home I found myself compelled to visit an old favorite place of mine at the rim of the world highway where I took a moment to sit down by the sequoia grove and write a little song.”
Could this be an addition to her newly announced Lust for Life album? Stay tuned…
