Following a litany of singles, including “Like It Is,” “I’ll Wait,” “Freedom” and the wildly popular reboot of the 1986 classic “Higher Love” with Whitney Houston, Kygo has finally released the track listing for his upcoming album Golden Hour.
According to his own Instagram post, the highly-anticipated collection will contain a whopping 18 tracks, including the aforementioned four. Though the names of the other 14 have been revealed, the collaborators’ names have been redacted in order to maintain mystery. Many fans are speculating that one of the collaborations is with Selena Gomez, who teamed up with Kygo on the international smash “It Ain’t Me” just a few years ago. Another popular theory is that The Weeknd appears on the LP, since Kygo is known to champion his sound (as evidenced by the “Starboy” and “Often” remixes he’s done) and loosely alluded to a collaboration in a 2017 interview. Pre-orders for the album will go live this Friday (May 15th), with the guest spots to be revealed at that time.
In addition to his musical effort the Norwegian producer/DJ is pitching merchandise in the form of hoodies, hats, shirts and more that are available on his website here. He’s also released a series of videos showing the creative process behind the already-released songs. Check out the clip for “Higher Love” below.
