In celebration and support of their newest album, Imploding the Mirage, The Killers took to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert this past week to perform a selection from the Island Records full length.

Showing off their multi-talented prowess the band played a rendition of “Blowback,” socially distanced on a stage featuring a lit-up “K.” and behind them shined a wall of lights, synchronized to the song whose lyrics speaks to a girl who’s always typecast but defies the odds to make her own future. Watch the performance below.

The Killers’ journey toward the release of their new full length was supported by the prior single “Caution,” that secured the #1 Alternative Radio chart position in May. The tune was subsequently remixed by club culture veteran Dave Audé for a powerful club culture spin on the original that followed band members Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci, Jr. performing an acoustic version during One World: Together At Home live broadcast.
