In honor of those lost in the El Paso, Texas shooting earlier this month, Khalid‘s The Great Khalid Foundation, along with Right Hand Foundation, are teaming up for a special benefit concert on September 1st at the Don Haskins Center.

The 21-year-old, who is originally from the city, expressed his dismay regarding the unfortunate August 3rd tragedy: “I have been rocked to the core by the horrific act of gun violence that came to El Paso, and by the continued acts of senseless violence that our country faces daily,” he said in a press release. “I want to give back to my community of El Paso, the city of the 915, who has given so much to me. Please come out and let’s heal together through music while raising money to help those who need it.”

Tickets go on sale August 14th local time at 10:00 AM via Live Nation. The “Talk” crooner is also expected to raise funds through this concert in support of the El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund and the El Paso Community Foundation. Special guests are slated to be in attendance.
