Kelly Clarkson‘s adoration of A Star Is Born made its way to the big stage on Friday night, February 15th, as the country/pop singer tried her hand at the Oscar nominated song. Written by Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt, and originally performed by the pop star and actor Bradley Cooper,”Shallow” recently won best original song at the 2019 Golden Globes.
“It’s cool just to know that someone that talented is also really nice,” Clarkson gushed before performing her own rendition. “Anyway, I’ve been rooting for her for awhile. This song, I just, I love it. It’s from that movie that she’s nominated for a billion awards for, and I hope she wins… I hope I don’t suck, and if I do, I hope she doesn’t see it!” From there, the “Since U Been Gone” artist launched into her own version of the Warner Brothers-released song with a full backing band.
