The latest developments may shed new light on the recent court case involving Dr. Luke and Kesha, this time from female pop star Kelly Clarkson. The first-ever American Idol winner claims “he’s not a good person.” We’ve clashed before. He’s difficult to work with, he’s kind of demeaning,” Clarkson said during a radio interview. Yet despite her apprehension, she ultimately obliged the solicitations of her record label, going on to state that “I only worked with him because literally I got blackmailed by my label. It was a really hard time for me. They were like, “We will not put your label out if you don’t do this.’”
“Obviously he’s a talented dude but he’s lied a lot. Musically it’s been really hard for me because he will just lie to people and it makes the artist look bad.” Clarkson has confirmed that there were no accusations beyond this point.
The two worked together and delivered the 2004 hit “Since U Been Gone” along with 2009’s “My Life Would Suck Without You,” with the former winning “Best Female Vocal Performance” at the 48th Grammy Awards.
Luke is currently in a legal standoff with Kesha, who claims the producer drugged and sexually assaulted her over the course of their working relationship.
