The 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards (AMC for short) was a star-studded event jam-packed with phenomenal performances throughout the evening. Held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada just this past Sunday (April 3rd). And while performances were given by many country icons including Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, and Little Big Town, one in particular that stood out from the rest had to be the on-stage collaboration between Dolly Parton and Katy Perry. Perry, known more for her Californian bubble gum pop aesthetic, is known to be a huge fan of the legendary country superstar, who was more than excited to take the stage with her hero.

The duet consisted of the two singers belting out the classics “Coat of Many Colors,” “Jolene,” and then “9 to 5.” However, it was the very last song that got the audience to stand up and shout, with the two receiving a standing ovation. Check out the performance below.
