“I’ll be the generator/Turn me on when you need electricity,” Justin Timberlake sings in the second video from his forthcoming album, Man of The Woods. “When s— start to go down/I’ll be the one with the level head/Work it in now, baby/We’ll be living in the walking dead.”
Justin Timberlake is stuck in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles in his new music video, featuring Pharrell and a whole lot of “supplies.” The video tackles themes such as the #MeToo movement, Harvey Weinstein, racism, police brutality, and more examples of social injustice. Throughout all of that, the video ends much like Blade Runner 2049, where the singer stands alongside actress Eiza Gonzalez with a group of children in rubble as the skyline of a destroyed city crumbles in the background.
“Supplies” is the second of four songs Timberlake is slated to release before debuting his fifth studio album, Man of the Woods, on February 2nd, two days before he takes center stage as the headliner of the Super Bowl halftime show on February 4th.
