Music’s hottest couple of the early 2000’s is hinting at the idea of a collaboration.
Back when Justin Timberlake was in NSYNC and Britney Spears took down the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, the two confirmed they were in fact dating. And after the two broke it off, JT retaliated with “Cry Me A River.”
Now it appears that the “Make Me…” singer wants to collaborate with her ex. During her appearance at a fan Q&A on Most Requested Live with Romeo, she mentioned a few artists she’d like to work with in the near future.
“Aerosmith seems really good and bright. He’s a genius I think. He’s very rock n’ roll. He sings from his soul. Gwen Stefani, I think she’s great,” Britney pointed out before mentioning…”Justin Timberlake is very good.”

However, JT seemed totally taken back when it was brought it his attention on the Red Carpet premier of his Netflix documentary Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids. The film focuses on the moments leading up to the final show of his 20/20 World Tour at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It premiered last night at the Toronto Film Festival and will be available for streaming on Netflix on October 12.
When E! News asked Justin if he’d heard the news and whether or not he was down for the two to team up, he immediately said that he was.
“She did? Sure! Absolutely, absolutely,” he said. “I have a 17-month-old so I don’t get the headline news. I apologize for not being in the know. I’m accessible, give us a call.”
