After label trials and tribulations, post-hits pop star JoJo is officially part of Atlantic Records and getting ready to release her first album since 2006. In the meantime, just in time for the holidays and her own birthday, she’s dropped a  surprise EP titled #LoveJo2, a sequel to last year’s Valentine’s Day EP. The four-song set finds the comeback queen in the mood to dance. She combines current electronic dance beats and creative ’90s wordplay.

The opening track “Right on Time” features a interpolation of Donna Lewis’ 1996 hit “I Love You Always Forever“. JoJo continues to channel her inner-90’s with a cover of Soul II Soul’s dance classic “Back To Life (However Do You Want It)“, reworked with futuristic house sounds. The Massachusetts native also gifted us with  a remix version of her current single “When Love Hurts,” featuring the bridge from Mary J. Blige’s 1992 hit “Real Love.”  Stream the impeccably curated EP in full below.
