Following months of speculation that Jennifer Lopez might perform during the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show, the New York native took to twitter on Thursday (September 26th), to confirm the rumors.
J-Lo’s tweet simply sports the “It’s happening” caption, plus the date of the 2020 Super Bowl, alongside a photo of her wearing a gold Pepsi bicep cuff (giving props to the halftime show’s sponsor) and a massive two-finger ring with the 02.02.2020 date.
Adding to the Super Bowl exhibition that, historically, showcases collaborations between unlikely teams (i.e. Travis Scott and Maroon 5‘s 2019 showdown), J-Lo will be joined on the world’s biggest stage by Columbian diva Shakira during next year’s football spectacular at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium. And in Shak’s social media message the “Hips Don’t Lie” songstress is sporting a Pepsi ring and belt buckle in her “get ready” tweet.
