According to her own admission on the Manic track “929,” Halsey was born at 9:29 AM on 9/29 and to celebrate the date, she dropped the Capitol Records-released music video.

The clip is a nostalgic and humbling review of the singer’s life as she looks back from childhood to her stardom of today. Rooted in the comfort of a bedroom, Halsey’s visual offers pictures and videos from her younger days, interspersed with retrospective interior flashes and contemporary shots of concerts. The video for “929” is heavy and according to the pop star’s social media mention: “Honoring the tradition of presents for you on my birthday. here’s a special music video for ‘929’ you guys have made me who I am today,”. Here’s the clip commemorating 26 years of Halsey.

In addition to this fresh release, Halsey also released an expanded version of Manic, which was reportedly the first RIAA-certified album of 2020 that attained gold and platinum status in Canada and United States. The 11 additional songs included boast two exclusive tracks, “wipe your tears” and “I’m Not Mad,” her “Be Kind” collab with Marshmello, two “Without Me” remixes featuring Juice WRLD and by Illenium, and six stripped and acoustic tracks.
