Despite recent world event Gloria Estefan continues her commitment to humanitarian interests and music with the remixed release of her classic “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You’ and her forthcoming involvement in the AIDS Walk and Gay Pride.
In conjunction with Pride month, Estefan’s original 1987 Sony Music-released classic receives a remixed makeover from Mauro Mozart who ushers her dance floor staple into contemporary club culture . Complete with high-octane percussion, synths and audible effects, the track holds a newfound versatility, primed and ready for domestic and international dance floor appeal. In addition to her 2020 musical make-over, the Cuban-American singer, songwriter, actress and businesswoman will take part in the first-ever AIDS Walk: Live at Home event on July 19th at 10 AM ET. Along with Bette Middler, the two will perform during the iHeart Media-presented 90-minute virtual event, aimed of raising funds for 45 organizations including San Francisco’s PRC and New York’s GMHC nonprofits that provide services for people affected by HIV/AIDS and the COVID-19 epidemic. Joining the online march will be Matt Bomer, Vanessa Williams, Laura Linney, Queer Eye stars Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown and Tan France, alongside Grace and Frankie actor Peter Gallagher, RuPaul’s Drag Race star Ross Mathews, Mae Whitman from Good Girls and Alex Newell from Zoe’s Extraordinary Playlist.
