Debuting today Gloria Estefan gets candid about her family’s life during the new Facebook Live series Red Table Talk: The Estefans.
Taking a page from Jada Pinkett Smith’s widely popular series that saw a huge bump following her controversial episode with her husband, Will, the spinoff Red Table Talk: The Estefans features the Grammy winner and her family in candid conversations with one another and celebrity guests in post-meal debriefing-style chats.
The inaugural edition that went live today (October 7th), shows that no topic is off-limits, as the singer’s niece / co-host Lili Estefan, opens up about her painful 2018 divorce from Cuban businessman Lorenzo Luaces after 25 years of marriage.
In a trailer for the series, Gloria Estefan is joined by her multigenerational family, including longtime husband and Svengali, Emilio, and their daughter, Emily. Stressing the importance of honesty, she said, “This is the best way to make sure that people understand we’re willing to go to the places where they have questions, about things we’ve never spoken about and that are very personal.” Watch the first take of Red Table Talk: The Estefans here.
This latest Estefan release contributes to a fantastic year for the singer, as she released an album of reimagined classics titled BRAZIL305, and the 2020 revamp of her dance/pop classic Rhythm Is Gonna Get You”.
