After its blazing worldwide debut, Gesaffelstein and The Weeknd‘s monster collaboration “Lost in the Fire” secures this week’s #1 Breakout position on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.

The mysterious French techno producer who has previously worked with the likes of Kanye West, and Brodinski, once again teams up with the Starboy to create a song that explains The Weeknd’s deepest and most raw emotions. The Daft Punk-inspired production provides the perfect rhythm line over which the Ontario-native finally details his love for one woman.

Released just two weeks ago, the recording and its accompanying visual have enjoyed massive success, racking up over 18,000,000 views on YouTube, and double that in streams on Spotify. The Manu Cossu-directed video clip sees both the Grammy-winning singer in the flesh and Gesaffelstein’s glossy statue alone together in a sparsely-decorated abyss, watching as the world around them turns darker and darker.
