George Michael is set to release an official reissue of his second solo studio album Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 in celebration of its 25th anniversary. The record, which went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and went on the multi-platinum success, contained some of the iconic singers greatest hits including “Freedom ’90” and “Praying For Time.”

Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 will be re-released as an LP, two-disc, and 3-CD Deluxe Box Set. Including with each purchase is Michael’s performance on MTV Unplugged in 1996. Along with a new collection, the former Wham! singer is also set to release a documentary that details the making of his prolific sophomore album.

 

Titled Freedom: George Michael, and narrated by George, EW reports that the film is owned by BBC Worldwide. Additionally, it shows the singer’s ongoing lawsuit with his record label, which he believed did not fully support him, along with the death of his lover Anselmo Feleppo.

Freedom: George Michael features a star-studded cast of cameos that include Elton John, Mark Ronson, and Stevie Wonder. Additionally, the supermodels Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Tatjana Patitz who starred in the singer’s video for “Freedom ’90” are also slated for an appearance.

The reissue for Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1 is scheduled to be released through Sony Music in 2017.
