Though it comes as no surprise that dance music deejays make massive amounts of money, how much they earn can be used as a barometer of the formats appeal amongst casual and hardcore fans.

Forbes has reported that Calvin Harris tops the list of highest-paid DJs for the sixth consecutive year with earnings of $48 million, thanks in large part to his residencies in Las Vegas. The Chainsmokers rank #2 leapfrogging over Tiësto whose paycheck dropped by a considerable $6 million. Other artists who have jockeyed around include:
