After re-releasing his documentary, When Everything Was New, last week, Flume is back with a mixtape titled Hi This Is Flume.

The 17-track collection courtesy of Future Classic features a host of collaborations with the likes of SOPHIE, Eprom, JPEGMAFIA, HWLS, slowthai and frequent collaborator Kučka. While for some, that may seem like a huge amount of material, but half of the songs are less than two minutes in length. Regardless, each recording has layers of complexity that only Flume knows how to splice together.

Each selection from the Australian-born producer blends like a true mix presentation. “High Beams” with HWLS and slowthai is a bass-heavy stand-out that’s groovy and brash, while the three-minute-plus instrumental “Jewel,” is a psychedelic, beat-driven recording that is as “future” as future bass can be. Later on, Flume and Eprom team up on a glitchy remix of SOPHIE’s “Is It Cold In The Water?”

All together, the collection includes a wide range of sounds and artists to create an eclectic and exciting mix. Give it a listen below.
