MTV has released its official list of performers, presenters, and nominees for the 2016 Music Video Awards.
Making her way back into the spotlight is none other than Britney Spears, performing “Make Me…” alongside G-Eazy. In addition, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj will perform their duet piece “Side to Side.”
Following suit for onstage collaborations, Nick Jonas and Ty Dolla $ign will perform “Bacon,” while The Chainsmokers and Halsey will take the stage together for “Closer.” In addtion, Future will hit the stage as will Rihanna, who’s also receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Among the celebrities in attendance, The Final Five US Olympics gymnastics team along with 23-time gold medalist Michael Phelps will be presenting awards. Kim Kardashian, Alicia Keys, and Jimmy Fallon are also slated to appear. Last but not least, Fifth Harmony will also be sending off a much-coveted moon man to its respective winner. In addtion, Ansel Elgot, Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs, Jaden Smith, Rita Ora, Tove Lo, and Shameik Moore are also set to present.
Not surprisingly, Adele’s monster hit “Hello” is nominated in the majority of all categories, including “Video of the year,” and “Best Female Video.” Other hitmakers include Beyoncé for her single “Hold Up,” Drake for “Hotline Bling,” and Sia for “Cheap Thrills.”
In other categories, Coldplay‘s “Adventure Of A Lifetime” is nominated for “Best Rock Video” while Mike Posner’s infectiously catchy “I Took A Pill In Ibiza” is up for “Best Electronic Video.” For a full list of all nominees, be sure to check out the MTV official website.
