Last weekend, Elton John hosted a publicly-broadcasted “Living Room Concert for America” featuring Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, Dave Grohl, Camila Cabello and more. The aim was to raise money for those who have lost their jobs and/or fallen on hard times due to the Corona Virus and it worked!

With on-air distribution support of Fox and iHeartMedia radio stations, the hour-long effort was accounted for $8 million in listener donations with each performance streamed from the artists’ respective homes via cell phones, cameras and audio equipment.

Of the throngs of musicians involved, Tim McGraw may very well have taken the cake as the Louisiana-native sang while seated on the diving board of his pool, accompanied by three musicians — two guitarists and a pianist — each of whom beamed in remotely from their homes, keeping in time. “We could do a whole concert like this,” McGraw said.
