Elton John added to his famous duets with young artists as he shared the stage with Miley Cyrus for a duet of the classic “Tiny Dancer.”
John started the performance solo with his piano, having placed a single white rose on his piano as a nod to the Time’s Up movement. Cyrus later joined John on the stage, swaggering with her signature raspy country twang for the song’s second verse. The pair harmonized and collaborated perfectly to one of John’s most signature tracks.
“Sir Elton John, I can’t thank you enough for giving me the honor of performing with you tonight at The Grammys,” Cyrus wrote on Twitter after they sang together. ” I’ve loved every moment I’ve spent with you over the years and will cherish each second of your kindness. Let’s kick ass and keep fighting for an end to the AIDS epidemic!”

Sadly, this is the beginning of the end for Elton John as he recently announced that he will be going on tour one last time, before retiring from music, on the fittingly-named “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour but he won’t go out without a bang. The three-year tour should be spectacular.
