Hot off the recent release of his Europa EP, Diplo just announced that he will be performing at the upcoming Stagecoach country music festival, located at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

While being a surprising concept, the superstar electronic DJ will actually host an afterparty in the Palomino tent on April 28th, rather than officially holding a spot on the bill. The special event taking place on the final day of the gathering is dubbed “Stagecoach Late Night in Palomino featuring Diplo.”

“We are friends with Diplo’s team and dreamed up the idea backstage last year,” said Stagecoach talent buyer Stacy Vee in a statement. “His manager was wearing a t-shirt with Diplo wearing a cowboy hat on it. I am so excited it came together, and I think people are going to love it.” As the announcement video humorously suggests, he may not have been the first thought to appear at the country festival, which features Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt and Jason Aldean as headliners, but the Grammy winner’s appearance came together effortlessly.
