Diana Ross is on the brink of breaking into the top 10 with “The Boss 2019” which currently sits at #12* on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. This news comes after consecutive weeks of the Motown/UME-released track hitting the #40* Hot Shot Debut and #20* positions.

The rework of Miss Ross’ 1979 classic follows in the footsteps of her previous #1* charting “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough 2017” and “I’m Coming Out / Upside Down 2018” which both received remixes from producer extraordinaire Eric Kupper, who took the dreamy disco original and updated it for 2019’s dance floors. That version of “The Boss” has gained a partner with another design from Chicago DJ/producer Dirty Werk, giving it a classic House vibe that perfectly incorporates aspects of the original.

After performing “Best Years of My Life” and “Reach Out and Touch (Somebody’s Hand)” at this year’s Grammy Awards, the Disco icon will be celebrating her 75th birthday in spectacular fashion by hosting a special show on March 26th at the Hollywood Palladium along with a group of friends and family. Tickets are now available and can be found here.
