DD Foxx‘s “Need Your Love Tonight” has made an instant impact on the dance community with its #3 Breakout position on this week’s Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.

The 971 Entertainment-released track from the Dubai native immediately acquired a remix from DJ Kue, whose catalog includes reworks of songs by Calvin Harris, Kanye West, The Chainsmokers and more. Kue’s take on “Need Your Love Tonight” preserves the original’s lyrics “You’re the closest thing to me, baby that’s no lie/I want you to hold me, touch me, caress me/ I need your love tonight,” while adding a quick four-on-the-floor beat, creating an early-years “Kaskade” feel.

Foxx grew up emulating TV commercials and jingles, sparking her passion for singing and songwriting. Those humble and honest beginnings as well as exposure to an array of musical influences has helped to shape the 31-year-old’s style which is described as “a mixture of Pop, Dance, R&B, Rap and Funk with a Middle Eastern flavor.” Give the initial remix of DD Foxx’s #3 Breakout “Need Your Love Tonight” a listen below.
