After lots of hype surrounding a possible tour announcement along with their performance with The Weeknd at the Grammys, Daft Punk will deliver a previously unexpected pop-up shop that will run during their time in Los Angeles for the biggest night in music.
The “Get Lucky” duo will follow in the spirit of other pop-up shops like ones put up by Kanye West, The Weeknd and Frank Ocean, by offering “limited edition apparel and accessories” by various designers such as Off-White, Darkdron, Herve Manufacturer and Enfants Riches Deprives.
If we want to split hairs, the shop will also feature official “special edition” merchandise that will be specific to the store, in addition to the current selection of material currently available on Daft Punk’s website.
Due to their long history, The Grammy award-winning Parisians will be adding a little twist to their shop by offering “a retrospective of archival set pieces, props, wardrobe, artwork, photography and robot helmets.” in order to educate their fans and provide more than just a retail selling experience.
If I lived in L.A. I would definitely be camping out for this pop-up shop because these items of merchandise, and arguably art, will be hot and will sell out quick.
For those who ARE in L.A., the store will run from February 11-19th and will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. through 5 p.m. on Sundays. Get there early.
