It will be seven years in 2020 since the world last heard new music from Daft Punk. Though members Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter have worked on other artists projects in the meantime, the robotic duo’s own repertoire has experienced the longest drought since the space between Human After All and Random Access Memories. Now, however, things may be changing.

The news comes from popular website Has it Leaked?, who claim Daft Punk is back in the studio and working on something new. The rumor came via a large artist dump of names, including Purity Ring, Drake, Tame Impala, and others, describing where they’re at in the production process.

While the list contains names that’ve previously announced current and/or upcoming projects, with the French duo, their situation is a bit different as rumors concerning the Frenchmen tend to circulate and then quickly die out. The site has a good track record of being right when it comes to such leaks, so watch this space for more on a possible 2020 Daft Punk project.
