If you live on Twitter, everyone is still buzzing about Solange’s new LP, A Seat At The Table. The album earned her first No. 1, selling 72,000 equivalent units in its first week. Solange and Beyoncé are now one of the only sibling pairs to debut a solo project at No. 1 within the same year.
The Montreal producer debuted the remix during his set at Terminal 5 last week, and it wasn’t clear whether he’d release it online, but he apparently decided to release the full version after embracing “how good it sounds.”
Kaytranada posted it on his SoundCloud with the following message:
I couldn’t help it and i can’t deny how good it sounds. this is just an edit to play on my dj sets, and i played it once and everybody wanted it right away. Honestly i was gonna wait to see if Solange or her team or whoever works for her wouldve ask me to do an offical remix so if they still want to, i could make it sound better than that version but ohhhhh, what the hell….anyways i highly recommend you that new Solange album “A Seat At The Table”.
