Grammy award winning rock band Coldplay has just released the music video for their single “Up&Up” off their latest album A Head Full of Dreams. Filmed primarily in Mexico City, the visually stunning companion piece is chock-full of images that stirs the imagination. From celestial bodies floating through space, giant stingrays and manatees soaring across city skylines, to larger-than-life versions of the band, “Up&Up” takes you on a journey that transcends both time and space. Further images include the band members sky diving into pasta and a volcano erupting with popcorn.

Directed by Vanie Heymann and Gal Muggia, the two are no strangers to directing music videos having worked with notable artists such as CeeLo Green and Bob Dylan. Prior to the video’s release, frontman Chris Martin expressed his happiness with the project, stating that: “The video is…I’m gonna drop the mic and say I think it’s one of the best videos people have made. Even if you take the music away.”

Coldplay released “Up&Up” on April 22, 2016 and is the third single off the band’s seventh studio album A Head Full of Dreams, which they are currently on tour to promote.
